Coding is the skill of the future.

This might seem like a bold statement, but in an increasingly digital world, it’s important to understand how it all works.

When we’re young, the reason that building bricks are intriguing is not just because we have the instructions to build models, but also because we can take them apart again and see again how they were put together in the first place.

In this same spirit, introducing children to coding gives them the tools to treat a digital world as their building bricks, understanding how the games they play, the websites they visit, even this very blog, are put together.

In countries across the world, from Singapore to South Africa, from Australia to the United Arab Emirates, coding has been introduced to the school syllabus, with classes beginning as soon as children are able to pick up the keyboard.

With the interest in learning to code video games ever increasing, we thought there wouldn’t be a better time to talk about some benefits of teaching coding to children and perhaps even encouraging a few of you to try it out as well.
